Join Walmart Global Tech as a Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack) to build and enhance scalable systems that power seamless digital experiences for millions of customers worldwide. You will work across diverse systems and domains, contributing to the design and development of critical backend services supporting Walmart’s digital ecosystem, from checkout and fulfillment to user engagement journeys. About Team: Focusing on customer, associate and business needs, this team works with Walmart International, which includes more than 5,200 retail units, operating in 23 countries such as Central America, Chile, Mexico to name a few. What You'll Do: • Architect, design, and develop scalable backend services and APIs to support complex digital experiences. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across domains, including product, frontend, data, and UX teams, to design solutions that enhance the customer journey. • Lead technical initiatives, including solution architecture, performance tuning, and system scalability enhancements. • Optimize application performance and ensure high code quality. • Mentor junior engineers and drive knowledge sharing within the team. • Advocate for best practices in services architecture, security, and testing. • Implement and maintain secure, high-performance, and fault-tolerant distributed systems. • Develop reusable frameworks and components for backend service integrations. • Maintain high code quality through automated testing, continuous integration, and code reviews. • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across complex services. • Build scalable and reliable systems that handle large volumes of traffic and data. • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while following engineering best practices. • Debug and troubleshoot issues in distributed systems across environments. • Contribute to performance optimization, security improvements, and system resilience. • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers. What you’ll bring: • 6 to 9 years of total experience of which 5+ years in Fullstack engineering platform development. • 5+ years of experience in Java technologies, Distributed systems and large-scale application development and design. React, React native, Python • Hands on experience Spring Boot, REST, Kafka, Cassandra. • Experience with containerization technology and Microservices • Well versed in CI/CD, DevOps practices, and monitoring tools. • Work with Java, Multithreading, Data Structures, Algorithm, Design Patterns and develop robust high- performance and scalable applications. • Strong adherence to SLDC process and Scrum/agile methodologies About Walmart Global Tech Imagine working in an environment where one line of code can make life easier for hundreds of millions of people.
