Full Stack Java Developer - Fintech

Full Stack Developer ***This is a 6-month project that we are helping staff for Mastercard to support their external client.*** Must Have: • Payments Industry experience in recent positions is a MUST (former Mastercard would be a 'plus') • Engineer/Development background to support a product enhancement • Full Stack experience: • Java, Springboot • React, JavaScript • REST APIs • AWS Cloud • SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL • Cloud-native SaaS applications (highly preferred) Description: What You’ll be doing As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will build and support both frontend and backend applications, working across the entire software development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, software engineers, and other engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based solutions. This role will be a key contributor responsible for designing, developing, and delivering modern software solutions for a SaaS platform that enables technology and service providers in the consumer bill payment space to facilitate the collection and delivery of consumer payments. Experience you’ll bring · 5+ years of professional software engineering experience. · Strong experience developing applications using Java and Spring Boot. · Strong experience building modern web applications using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3. · Experience designing and consuming REST APIs. · Experience developing and deploying applications in AWS Cloud. · Experience building event-driven applications using Apache Kafka. · Experience developing and supporting applications using PostgreSQL and Oracle Database, including SQL development and Oracle stored procedures. · Experience with frontend state management libraries such as Redux or Context API. · Experience writing automated tests, including unit, component, integration, and end-to-end tests using tools such as JUnit, Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or similar frameworks. · Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design, cloud-native development, security, and secure coding best practices. · Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, web performance, and frontend best practices. · Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills. · Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment with changing priorities. Preferred Qualifications · Experience building cloud-native SaaS applications. · Experience developing applications in the financial services or payments industry, including bill pay, credit card, accounts receivable, or accounts payable solutions. · Experience working with design systems and reusable component libraries. · Experience working with geographically distributed engineering teams.
