We’re looking for a Founding QA / Test Automation Engineer to ensure every data point we produce is correct, reliable, and production-ready. This is not traditional QA. This is owning quality across AI systems, data pipelines, and critical financial infrastructure — where silent failures are unacceptable. • *The Role** As the Founding QA / Test Automation Engineer, you will: • Own testing across the full stack — frontend, backend, and AI/ML outputs • Build testing infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines from scratch • Design regression frameworks to detect accuracy drift across model and prompt changes • Validate complex data pipelines where correctness is non-negotiable • Define and enforce quality standards across deterministic systems and AI/ML outputs • Work directly with founders and engineers to ship quickly without compromising quality • Set the bar for all future QA and engineering hires • *What You’ll Own** • End-to-end validation of data and document processing systems from ingestion through structured output • Regression frameworks to ensure accuracy and consistency across evolving AI/ML systems • API integration testing and validation of external data flows • Frontend critical user flows across core product experiences • CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates across the stack • Monitoring and alerting for production systems to ensure reliability at scale • *Who Are You?** • You’ve tested systems where correctness actually matters (financial data, insurance, data infrastructure, or document processing) • Experience at high-growth startups where speed and quality both matter • You understand how to validate data pipelines and AI/ML outputs — not just web apps • You’ve built or want to build automated testing frameworks from scratch • Comfortable operating across backend systems, APIs, and frontend applications • Highly technical, AI-native, and systems-oriented • Relentless attention to detail — you catch what others miss • *Technical Skills** • Python (pytest or similar) • Playwright or Cypress • CI/CD (GitHub Actions or similar) • Experience testing APIs, data pipelines, and distributed systems • *Bonus:** • Experience testing LLM or AI systems • Experience building regression or evaluation frameworks • Experience with document processing or OCR systems • Experience working in insurance or insurtech environments • *Culture & Expectations** This is an intense, output-driven environment.
